What are CMRT and EMRT forms?
Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT)
After the U.S. Dodd-Frank Act was passed in 2010, requiring publicly traded companies in the U.S. to disclose their use of conflict minerals, the industry created the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) form.
The CMRT form is a free, standardized reporting template used by the industry to facilitate the transfer of conflict minerals data through the supply chain.
CMRT forms are updated regularly to include the addition or removal of identified smelters and refiners.
Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT)
The Extended Minerals Reporting Template (EMRT) is a free, standardized reporting template used by the industry to facilitate the transfer of due diligence information on the presence of cobalt, mica, and other minerals in supply chains.
The EMRT form was developed in accordance with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas.
