PPWR Explained: Your Guide to PPWR Reporting Requirements, Timelines, and Data Collection

PPWR is here. Is your packaging ready?

GreenSoft is hosting a webinar to help manufacturers understand the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and prepare for upcoming packaging compliance requirements. Join Mitchell Gilbert, GreenSoft Compliance Analyst, for a practical discussion on PPWR reporting requirements, key timelines, packaging data expectations, and steps organizations can take now to prepare their supply chains and documentation processes. Register now to save your spot.

What Is PPWR and Why Does It Matter?

The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) became generally applicable on August 12, 2026. It replaces much of the long-standing Packaging Waste Directive (PPWD) and establishes new requirements for recyclability, substances of concern, recycled content, labeling, package minimization, and technical documentation.

For manufacturers selling products into the European market, PPWR represents a significant shift in packaging compliance expectations. While implementation details continue to evolve, organizations are already assessing what packaging information they will need from their suppliers and how they will maintain the documentation necessary to support future compliance activities.

    Why Manufacturers Should Prepare Now

Many manufacturers, particularly electronics manufacturers with complex global supply chains, are working to understand what packaging data will be required and when specific compliance obligations will take effect.

    Early preparation can help organizations:

    • Identify packaging data gaps
    • Improve supplier engagement
    • Organize supporting documentation
    • Prepare for evolving compliance requirements
    • Build processes for collecting packaging-related information across the supply chain

These preparation activities can reduce uncertainty as additional PPWR implementation requirements are finalized

What You'll Learn in Our PPWR Webinar

Hosted by GreenSoft Compliance Analyst Mitchell Gilbert, this webinar provides practical guidance designed to help manufacturers better understand current and upcoming PPWR requirements.

    Topics include:

    • Current PPWR obligations
    • Upcoming compliance timelines and milestone
    • Supplier and packaging data expectations
    • Documentation and technical file considerations
    • Practical steps manufacturers should take now to prepare their packaging, documentation, and supply chains

    Reserve Your Spot Now

PPWR is already reshaping packaging compliance in the EU. Understanding the requirements and early preparation can help organizations identify data gaps, engage suppliers, and prepare for the new regulatory landscape. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.

How GreenSoft Supports PPWR Compliance for Electronics Manufacturers

GreenSoft supports manufacturers by collecting PPWR-related data from across the supply chain. This includes signed declarations, heavy metals content information, substances of concern (SoC) data, material information, recyclability information, marking disclosures, test reports, declarations of conformity (DoCs), and supporting evidence documentation.

As packaging compliance requirements continue to evolve, having a structured approach to supplier data collection and documentation management can help organizations prepare for future compliance obligations. Contact us to learn more or schedule a walkthrough of our PPWR solution.
